Para cricketer Amir Hussain Lone was recently presented with an unforgettable gift by the cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar – a bat signed by Tendulkar himself, during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Overwhelmed by this gesture, Tendulkar shared his feelings on social media, stating: “To Amir, the real hero. Keep inspiring! Meeting you was a delight.”
Amir, known for his distinctive method of playing cricket by bowling with his legs and batting with his shoulder and neck, has been a part of the professional cricket scene since 2013. His journey into para cricket began when a teacher recognized his potential. Tragically, Amir lost both his arms in an accident at his father’s sawmill at the age of eight.
The desire to meet Amir was expressed by Sachin after a video showcasing Amir’s cricketing skills gained widespread attention online. Sachin, moved by Amir’s story and determination, shared his thoughts on social media: “Amir has turned the impossible into possible. His story deeply moves me! It’s evident how much love and commitment he has for cricket. I eagerly look forward to the day I can meet him and perhaps receive a jersey with his name.
