Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, after being released from jail, first visited a temple to seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman and then paid his respects to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. He was accompanied by several prominent leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during these visits.

Manish Sisodia, who had been in jail for nearly 17 months in connection with an alleged money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy scam, visited the Rajghat to offer floral tributes at the memorial of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He appeared solemn as he sat with his eyes closed for an extended period in front of Gandhi’s memorial. Leaders like Atishi, Sanjay Singh, and Saurabh Bharadwaj, along with other party members, also showed serious expressions during this time.

Before heading to Rajghat, Sisodia offered prayers at the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place. He was joined by AAP MP Sanjay Singh and ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj for the visit to the temple. Hundreds of party workers gathered at the temple to welcome him, chanting slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Hanuman.”

Speaking about his temple visit, Sisodia expressed his hope that Lord Hanuman would bless the people of Delhi and mentioned that Hanuman had blessed him. He also added that Arvind Kejriwal, who is also in jail in connection with the same case, would similarly receive blessings from Hanuman.
Sisodia had also posted a selfie with his wife earlier today. Sisodia took to X and wrote, “आज़ादी की सुबह की पहली चाय….. 17 महीने बाद! वह आज़ादी जो संविधान ने हम सब भारतीयों को जीने के अधिकार की गारंटी के रूप में दी है। वह आज़ादी जो ईश्वर ने हमें सबके साथ खुली हवा में साँस लेने के लिए दी है।”

After the temple visit, Sisodia was scheduled to address party leaders, workers, and the media at the AAP headquarters on DDU Marg, where a heavy police presence was noted from the morning. Upon his release from Tihar Jail on Friday evening, Sisodia stated that he had been granted bail due to the power of the Constitution and expressed confidence that this same power would secure the release of Kejriwal.
