Arvind Kejriwal to vacate CM Residence
After resigning from the position of Chief Minister, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal will give up all government facilities. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated on Wednesday, September 18, that Kejriwal will vacate his official residence within 15 days.

Sanjay Singh said, “As a Chief Minister, one is entitled to many privileges, which Arvind Kejriwal also received. After resigning yesterday, he decided to give up all these facilities. There are concerns about his security as several attempts have been made to attack him. BJP members have orchestrated attacks, and he has even been physically harmed. We are worried about the safety of his family as well.”

He further added, “We tried to convince him, but Kejriwal said that he has been in jail before and lived among dangerous criminals, and that God will protect him. He plans to live among the common people. It is not yet decided where he will stay, but a suitable place will be found soon.”

On Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal submitted his resignation to Lieutenant Governor Vinai Saxena. It is important to note that when a leader is no longer a Chief Minister, they are usually given ample time to vacate their official residence, which can extend up to three months.

The current residence where Arvind Kejriwal lives is located on Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines. He had been criticized by the BJP over the renovation expenses of this house, and as a result, the Lieutenant Governor had ordered an Anti-Corruption Branch investigation into the matter.

When Kejriwal first became Chief Minister in December 2013, he lived in the Kaushambi area of Ghaziabad. Later, as CM, he moved to a house in Tilak Lane, Delhi. After the Aam Aadmi Party formed the government again in February 2015, he shifted to the Civil Lines area in North Delhi.
