On February 28, Kane Williamson, the esteemed former Test captain of New Zealand, and his partner Sarah Raheem were overjoyed to announce the birth of their third child, a delightful baby girl. The couple, who embarked on their parenting journey with the birth of their first daughter in 2020 and a son in 2022, have now welcomed a new addition to their family.
Williamson, renowned for his cricket prowess, took a break from the recent T20I series against Australia to be by Sarah’s side for the birth of their latest family member. He expressed his gratitude and shared the joyous arrival of their daughter with fans on Instagram, stating, “And then there was 3. Welcome to the world beautiful Girl. So grateful for your safe arrival and the exciting journey ahead.”
Despite their long-term relationship since 2015, Kane Williamson and Sarah Raheem have not yet tied the knot. Their family began with the birth of their first child, Maggie, in December 2020, followed by the arrival of their son in May 2022. Williamson had previously taken leave from his professional commitments, including stepping away from Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL 2022, to be present for his second child’s birth. Looking ahead, Williamson is expected to return to the cricket field for the upcoming two-match Test series against Australia, starting on February 29 at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. His return comes on the heels of a stellar performance in a recent Test series against South Africa, where he joined an elite group of New Zealand players to score two centuries in a single Test match. Furthermore, Williamson set a new benchmark by becoming the quickest to achieve 32 Test centuries, surpassing Australian cricket legend Steve Smith’s record.
