The story takes us back to the mid-60s, when Dharmendra hosted a party to celebrate the camaraderie of his film Haqeeqat (1964). Among the invitees was a young and new-to-the-industry Sanjay Khan, brother of the renowned Feroz Khan. It was supposed to be an evening of fun and bonding, but things took an unexpected turn.

As the night unfolded, Dharmendra, being the gracious host, offered drinks to his guests, including Sanjay. However, the rookie actor went overboard, consuming far too much alcohol. Intoxicated and uninhibited, Sanjay began making derogatory remarks about fellow actors in the industry.
Initially, Dharmendra tried to diffuse the situation calmly, advising Sanjay to tone down. But matters escalated when Sanjay crossed the line by insulting veteran actor Om Prakash. This was too much for Dharmendra to bear. In a moment of fury, he delivered a hard slap to Sanjay in front of the stunned gathering.

The party attendees were left speechless, unable to comprehend what had just happened. Dharmendra himself regretted the incident later, realizing his actions might have been too harsh. The next day, he visited Feroz Khan’s house to apologize for his behavior.
