The rush happened at a’satsang’ (prayer assembly) for Lord Shiva. Images from the Community Health Centre showed multiple bodies being transported there in front of grieving families.
“We received 27 bodies, 25 of them were female and two were male. Some injured people have been taken to hospitals. We have heard that there was a stampede during a ”satsang,” but we don’t have much more information,” said Dr Umesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief Medical Officer of Etah.
