A tragic incident occurred in Gurugram’s Rajendra Park area last night where a 7-year-old boy was beaten to death by his mother’s live-in partner. The boy’s 9-year-old elder brother was also beaten and is now receiving treatment at a hospital.

According to the police, the boys’ mother, Preeti, was not at home when her partner, Vineet Chaudhary, who was drunk, started beating the children. In a fit of rage, Vineet threw the younger boy, Manu, against the wall, causing his death. He also violently threw the older boy, Preet, onto the ground, leaving him critically injured.

Preeti, who had moved in with Vineet after her husband Vijay Kumar died last year, rushed home and informed the neighbours upon learning of the incident. The neighbours took the two boys to the hospital, where Manu was declared dead, and Preet is being treated for serious injuries.

The boys’ grandfather mentioned that Vineet had been abusive towards the children when their mother was not around. Vineet, who works in a private company, has been arrested, and the police are conducting further investigations.
