A guy from Noida named Jay Krishna Kumar Mehta was arrested for pretending there was a bomb on a SpiceJet flight from Darbhanga to Delhi. He did this because he was running late and wanted to delay the flight. The plane had already left by the time he made the fake call.
When the flight landed in Delhi, everyone had to get off, and the plane was checked, but no bomb was found. The police charged Mehta for making the false threat. He made the call to SpiceJet’s call center in Gurugram, and he said his name was Kishore.
Mehta claimed he overheard two guys talking about a bomb on the flight on January 24. The airport was put on high alert even though the flight had already taken off.
The police found out the bomb threat was just a lie, and they arrested Mehta in Noida with the help of technology. During questioning, he admitted he made up the threat because he was late at the Darbhanga airport and wanted to delay the flight on purpose.
